Having been founded in 2001, men-ü is today considered by many to be one of the top professional, men’s grooming brands around. We tested out their Healthy Facial Wash to see whether it left our skin leaving cleansed and refreshed after using it for a couple of weeks. So how did it perform?

men-ü say that using the Healthy Facial Wash will help you ‘achieve a clear, clean complexion’ through its soap-free, ultra-concentrated formula. And from the off, we should say it’s a pleasant experience using the cleanser.

Thanks to the antibacterial Tea Tree Oil and Peppermint Oil, the product is incredibly refreshing, giving you that palpable cooling sensation. The two ingredients also means Healthy Facial Wash smells fantastic. The added Witch Hazel is soothing too, while Aloe Vera and pro vitamin B5 also naturally moisturises – just maybe not as much as we’d like.

Like all of men-ü’s products, Healthy Facial Wash is ‘ultra concentrate’, which basically means a little should go a long way. And on that front, despite it not being the cheapest men’s cleanser on the market, men-ü have delivered on something good value for money too. The brand claims it can ‘deliver’ up to 265 washes, and having used it for a couple of weeks now, we’d say that’s probably not too far off the mark.

Thanks to this ‘ultra concentrate’, you won’t need to use as much product as you’d think and it naturally generates a low lather. While it is cleansing and does well against blocked pores, we’d say it’s most effective for those with oily skin – especially on the T-zone. We naturally have dry skin and still needed to use a daily moisturiser post wash. You’ll still need to exfoliate regularly too.

Overall, we’d say the men-ü Healthy Facial Wash is a good-to-decent daily face wash, especially for those men with oily complexions. Just remember; a little goes a long way.
